Alana graduated with the Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto 2014, having over a decade of experience working in mental health. It can be difficult to live with big feelings, and it is important to find healthy or different ways to cope. She supports the 18+ population through various challenges including grief, anxiety, ADHD, emotion dysregulation, and relationship concerns. She offers one-time sessions, brief work or ongoing sessions. She has post-graduate training in solution-focused therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy for Youth. She strongly believes in the mind-body connection and has her 200 hr yoga teacher training. She loves puzzles, and you can often find her working on the New York Times crosswords. This is Mikaela, your soon-to-be registered dietitian extraordinaire, currently rocking the dietetic intern life and eagerly awaiting her graduation in July 2024. With a bachelor's degree in human nutritional science under her belt and now diving deep into a masters in applied human nutrition, she’s all about helping you navigate the confusing world of food, nutrition, and health. Her journey into nutrition was sparked by her own quest for clarity amidst the chaos of online advice. Now, she’s on a mission to demystify nutrition and wellness, one fact-packed session at a time. From kiddos to grown-ups, She’s here for all age groups, geeking out over the wonders of the human body and its relationship with food. Did she mention her sidekick, Phineas? He's her adorable weiner dog who's mastered the art of bed-hogging. She let’s it slide because he’s cute.

Cheryl Simoens M.A., C.C.C., B.A

Cheryl has an abundance of education and experience (over 13 years) in career counseling and mental health work that led her to attain her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2023. In her spare time, Cheryl loves going for hikes, kayaking, swimming and spending time with family including her 2 rescue huskies. Cheryl's areas of interest include complex trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, maladaptive self-image, relationship conflict, grief and loss, emotion regulation, negative self-talk, and chronic illness/conditions. Cheryl works from a trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centered approach and predominately implements eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), along with cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Her approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a belief in the resilience of the human spirit to discover your true potential. Mercedes Wyenberg B.KIN, CSCS
Strength and Conditioning Coach

Mercedes has a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with her strength and conditioning certification. She has her own personal training business and her goal is to spread the word about the importance of physical activity and moving your body. She empowers others to become healthier, happier, and stronger versions of themselves, by taking a step by step approach to develop a long term healthy and physically active lifestyle. Her focus is in strength training and functional movements to improve general health and fitness, promote fat loss, and assist in athlete development. Her strength and commitment to being stronger is shown in her Crossfit competitions. She loves the outdoors whether it’s hiking, snowboarding, biking and camping while indoors, she enjoys reading, singing, journal writing and spending time with loved ones with a charcuterie spread. She offers health and fitness coaching in person at Undefeated Performance or online to develop a program designed to your goals.
